The Sports Cafe Group is an International company offering restaurants, bars, nightclub and predominantly corporate sports hospitality in 8 venues across the UK with an approx annual turnover of £15 million and expansion plans for 2008.

Objective

Our most recent project was to develop a bespoke online e-marketing system. The focus on obtaining customer data and presenting promotional e-notifications would also be complemented by initiatives to drive an increase in information gathering from all areas of the business.

The Project

We built a database structure that would allow classification of existing customer information whilst also allowing for further diversification to enable specific targeting of promotional information. Along side this, we then developed a system of editable templates that could be edited, scheduled and then sent to vast numbers of customers by way of email. Given Data Protection Legislation we also needed to ensure that subscriptions could be modified and that customers could subscribe or unsubscribe automatically from the system at any time without the need for human intervention.

The Result

Within 5 Months The Sports Cafe Group had increased their Data Count by just over 500%. Multi tiered administration means that regional managers can only market their own database and must have clearance through the system from the Site Administrator to canvass the entire database. Statistical reporting on each campaign identifies how many successful emails were sent, how many were read and how many unsubscribes were generated, therefore allowing for appraisal and modelling for future campaigns. The system even removes emails that are no longer valid, therefore constantly cleaning data.
